At the end of January I went back to Powis with my video camera to interview anyone who was willing to be interviewed about their favourite objects from the castle and the Roman Cat. I managed to persuade four people, staff and volunteers, to talk to me. So it was a very successful trip. The objects they chose were: a stuffed pangolin; Lady Henrietta Herbert, painted in 1777 by Sir Joshua Reynolds, Lord Edward Herbert by Isaac Oliver, which is a miniature painting of great detail; and View of Verona from the Ponte Nuovo by Bernardo Belotto, a huge vast and very impressive piece of artwork that cannot go unnoticed.
