I have now finished a first draft version of the animation I have been working on using an iPad based on the interviews I carried out with volunteers at Powis about their favourite objects. This animation was made by creating drawings of the chosen objects on an iPad using an application called ‘Animator Creator’, adding frames between every few strokes of a stylus. This is my first digital drawing experience and first ever animation.

The animation can be viewed on YouTube. I will now wait to see what feedback I get and make improvements based on that. I’m hoping to exhibit the animation and the below stills at the end-of-term exhibition at Shrewsbury College in June for further feedback. We’re also going to have a meeting with the staff at Powis Castle next week (12th May) so I will show the video there as well and see what response I get (fingers crossed!).

I’ve taken a number of still shots of the finished drawings of the objects.
