Today we went to Powis Castle for a meeting with a number of the Powis Castle staff to discuss our ideas and the logistics of exhibiting our artwork in the autumn.

The meeting went really well. We presented our ideas, and the Powis staff rejoined with suggestions and feedback, all of which was really constructive and useful.

So, it looks like our work will be exhibited in September or October and I’d be able to exhibit my two videos plus accompanying artwork either in the cafe, the cellar or the bookshop. All this to be confirmed.

After the meeting we had a quick coffee in the volunteers’ sitting room where I learnt that the lovely 1980s tired flowery sofa and chair are being replaced with new swish modern chairs. Although I have place to express my views, I wanted to cry ‘noooo, you can’t do that!’ I feel that that sofa and chair (and the sinking blue sofa) fit in so well in that little cozy room with its mid-twentieth century peeling wallpaper. Perhaps today was the last time I’d get to sit and sip on a cup of coffee on my favourite chair?
